Sideports
Recently I've made several guitars with sideports. Although sideports increasingly have gained acceptance, they remain somewhat controversial. Sideports act as a kind of monitor for the player, and if discreet in size, do not change in any negative way what the audience hears (or likely sees). When they are open they may raise the main air resonance of the guitar, which can affect the overtone/harmonic responses of the instrument. I provide plugs for the ports to compensate for any undesirable changes that might occur and to give the guitarist choice in different playing conditions.
